The long-awaited return of the Sunset Night Market has arrived, with two new Friday dates this summer and fall and an expanded footprint to bring more AAPI food, vendors, makers, community fun, and local merchant highlights to the Irving Street corridor. 

Building upon the success of last fall’s Sunset Night Market, attracting over 10,000 people, the expanded market will double its size and focus on celebrating the food, culture, and community that shapes San Francisco and the Sunset District, complete with:

  • A durian-eating contest on the main stage hosted by Supervisor Engardio on 9/27

  • 50+ Food Vendors

  • 100+ Retail and Art Vendors

  • Carnival Games like Mega Slides, Whack-A-Mole, and more

  • Kids Activities

  • Live Music, Dance + DJs

  • Free onsite photobooth

  • Free Admission

  • 7 Blocks of Fun

The Sunset Night Market is presented by The Sunset Night Market Collaborative, a collective including Wah Mei School, Into the StreetsSunset Mercantile and ASIAN, Inc. Major support provided by the SF Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD), the Civic Joy Fund, and the office of Supervisor Joel Engardio.

Transportation and Parking

Muni: Lines 7, 29, 28, 91, N

Bike Valet will be available onsite

There are no parking lots onsite and street parking is extremely limited. We highly recommend taking public transportation if possible.

Parking Lots:

Jefferson Elementary will be opening their school yard as a parking lot to fundraise. It will cost $30 per car. The parking lot entrance will be near 1361 18th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94122. 

Lawton School, a K-8 public school, will offer $15 parking spots in a fenced lot. The parking lot entrance will be on 30th Avenue between Kirkham Ave and Lawton Ave. To pre-pay and reserve a spot, contact officers@nulllawtonpta.com.

Dogs

Dogs on leashes allowed – however, please be aware the event is crowded, with live music, food and other dogs on leash, and may not be suitable for all dogs depending on their sensitivity levels and comfort with crowds and noise.

Smoking

All Sunset Mercantile events are smoke-free pursuant to SF Health Code Article 19L.
